This year, our focus is simple: privacy with a purpose.

For us, that means two things.

First, it’s about how we serve our clients. We don’t view privacy as a box-checking exercise or a list of legal requirements to endure. We help clients look beyond the black-and-white letter of the law to build privacy programs that align with their business goals, strategy, and values. Done right, privacy is intentional. It’s strategic. And it becomes a competitive advantage — not a constraint.

Second, it’s about who we are. We’re a team of Privacy + Cyber professionals who care deeply about using our work, our platform, and our resources to promote positive change. We believe there is enormous good to be done in the world. To get it done, we must choose to act deliberately and with purpose.

In honor of Data Privacy Day (January 28), we are continuing our tradition of giving and embracing privacy with a purpose, using this moment not just to talk about privacy, but to do good.

Our 2026 Giving

Troutman Pepper Locke has made donations to the following organizations, whose missions embody our values of compassion, inclusion, and care for others:

  1. World Central Kitchen – A nonprofit founded by chef José Andrés that provides meals to people affected by natural disasters and humanitarian crises around the world. In every response in 2025, WCK’s work was powered by local community members — people who, even while facing crisis themselves, stepped up to care for their neighbors and helped serve more than 130 million meals across thousands of communities impacted by disaster.
  2. Women in CyberSecurity (WiCyS) – A global nonprofit community dedicated to recruiting, retaining, and advancing women in cybersecurity through mentorship, training, professional development, networking, and career opportunities.
  3. CyberNEU – A nonprofit focused on empowering neurodivergent adults by providing tailored training and mentorship that create pathways into cybersecurity careers.
  4. International Rescue Committee A global nonprofit dedicated to helping people whose lives and livelihoods are shattered by conflict and disaster. It supports them to survive, recover, and regain control of their futures by providing emergency aid, restoring essential services, and promoting long-term safety, dignity, and self-reliance.
