In our next comparison chart of U.S. state consumer data privacy laws, we compare various provisions of the laws that we did not already cover in our prior charts. Those provisions include exemptions (including for Gramm-Leach Bliley Act-regulated entities and nonprofits), treatment of sensitive personal data, children’s privacy provisions, and processing limitations (including data minimization and purpose specification language).
